Driving Detour for Lookout HC
Wed, 2010-04-28Important note- 6th Avenue will be closed between Union/Simms and Kipling from Friday at 8:30 PM through Monday at 5:30 AM. RTD will be installing a bridge for the new line they’re building, be cautious in choosing your route or allow plenty of time for a detour.
Race Course: Mountain Riders will finish their climb at the “post” just prior to the turn off for Buffalo Bill’s grave. This classic Front Range Hill Climb on Lariat Loop Road has 1220 feet of climbing in 4.5 miles. This will be a mass start event beginning at the “pillars” at the base of Lookout.
Entry Fees: This is an ACA race. ACA membership is required. All preregistered senior racers pay $25. Day of race cost $30. All racers 18 and under are free for junior categories only. Entry fees include ACA operation & insurance surcharges. One-day ACA membership is $10 for non-ACA members. ACA annual licenses can be purchased online at Americancycling.org. Fee for second race is $10. Refund of entry fees will only happen for weather caused cancellation.
