Weather is always a big question mark in the winter months in Colorado. It could be sunny and 50 or it could be 20 degrees with 30mph winds and snow. The 2010 Colorado State Cyclocross Championships day 1 saw very nice weather, fast course conditions and large field sizes with over 100 racers in the 35+/4s and close to 100 in the Mens 35+ Open field. These conditions are far different from the 2009 edition. For the first time the event is being broken into two days allowing riders to race both days. It looks like Sunday's weather will be a little cooler but still dry.
Well our polls for the Mens Open and Womens Open were pretty close. Jake Wells ended up second with Brandon Dwight winning the race and Pete Weber rounding out the top three. For the women Nicole Duke led start to finish with Lisa Strong and Amber Rydholm rounding out the top three.
