Centurion Colorado
Course Overview: No surprise here. It’s Colorado so we’ve got lots of climbing. Riders in the 50-mile and 100-mile events are in for a long, hard day as they wind their way west from Highway 36 up Lefthand Canyon to Ward and the famed Peak-to-Peak Highway, which sits above 9300 feet at the edge of the towering Rocky Mountains. The two long courses follow identical paths for 50 miles, with the 100-miler returning to Lyons, and then heading back out of town for a second long ascent, this time through Jamestown, before an encore trip to the Peak-to-Peak and back to Lyons. Total climbing: 12,904 feet. The family-friendly 25-mile route rolls over mostly flat terrain on the rural roads east of Lyons.
