Does anybody know of videos from older 'cross states? Not necessarily professionally done, but I remember someone out with a fairly serious camera around 01-03 but never saw any footage...

We (formerly Red Rocks Velo) had a few cameras setup when we did State Champs at Chatfield. Nothing ever really came of it. The guy on our team who set it all up did some editing, spliced some stuff together, but nothing remotely professional. Onsight Media does a great job - I'm in for $20.
