Scott Kornfield was tragically killed while on a training ride by a driver who fell asleep at the wheel of an automobile. He was a gifted tennis player, basketball player, mountain biker and road cyclist who raced for Feedback Sports Race Team out of Louisville, CO. He had an insatiable appetite for competition and looked forward to racing in the more torturous events in Colorado such as the Gore Pass road race, Mt.Evans hill climb and the Koppenburg circuit race in Superior. Scott volunteered at the Coal Miner's classic in Louisville registering young athletes at the race and took great joy in riding with and helping out new cyclists interested in the sport. Scott's wife, race team, and donors have generously contributed funds to develop this scholarship in his honor. Their desire is to create opportunities for young riders to enter the competitive racing arena.
